Phi Phi Island Honeymoon Packages

You may have heard of Phuket in Thailand, but maybe it is still new to Phi Phi Island, which is a small island located in the southeast of Phuket and consists of two islands.

Phi Phi Island is located in the southeast of Phuket and is far away, currently only accessible by speedboat, which takes about 80 minutes. It is considered one of the most popular scenic spots among the many islands in Phuket.

It is a sun-drenched place with soft white sandy beaches, tranquil turquoise waters, natural caves and unspoiled nature, making it one of the most popular honeymoon destinations in recent years from the more than 30 outlying islands around Phuket.

Best time to visit Koh Phi Phi

Koh Phi Phi is hot all year round, with only the two seasons, namely rainy season and the dry season. From November to May, it is the dry season. The island is not affected by rainfall and the water is very clear, so it feels cooler and more comfortable. Even in the non-tourist season, diving and swimming are not a problem as long as it does not rain.

Things to do for couples

The most romantic thing about Phi Phi Island is that it is a place blessed by the sun, loved by the warm sandy beaches and embraced by the clear blue water and surrounded by the naturally carved caves. Let's see what things suit for couples in Koh Phi Phi.

Beautiful Maya Bay

Maya Bay is located in the southwestern part of Koh Phi Phi Leh. There are very few sandy beaches on the entire island of Koh Phi Phi, so Maya Bay's beach is a particular surprise.

Maya Bay is surrounded by mountains on three sides, and the beach is small but snow-white. The hundreds of meters of walls around the bay are imposing, like a giant hand protecting Maya Bay. The sea is turquoise blue and the shore is dotted with exquisite coconut trees. It has a typical tropical island atmosphere, suitable for viewing and diving.

This small bay is surrounded on three sides by walls as high as 100 meters, with only a narrow outlet to the sea, giving it a feeling of isolation. The movie "The Beach" starring Leonardo DiCaprio was filmed in Maya Bay, making this little-known secret place famous.

Magical Viking Caves

A hundred-foot cliff rising from the bottom of the sea is a peculiar sight on Koh Phi Phi Leh. Swallow nests are densely built on the steep cliff walls and between the stalactites in the cliff caves. This is the base camp for the collection of "swallow's nest", a traditional delicacy in the cuisine and a valuable tonic.

There are scaffolds made of bamboo poles suspended from the cliff walls and caves, some of them pointing to the top of the cave, for the swallow nest collectors to crawl and collect. This work is very difficult and dangerous, and there are often accidents of death or injury from falls. In order to protect the ecological environment of Koh Phi Phi Leh, the Thai government currently only opens the Viking Cave for visitors to witness the difficult collection process.

The lively Tonsai Bay

The wide Ton Sai Bay is the "transportation hub" of Phi Phi Island, also the island's only pier. It is also the "business center" of the whole island, with stores lining the tiny alleys, from travel agencies to internet cafes, from 7-11 to souvenir stores, and offers everything you need for everyday travel.

Restaurants and hotels make this place bustling with activity from morning to night, but there is no shortage of crystal white sandy beaches, dancing tropical coconut groves and breathtaking turquoise waters.

Couples who like a lively atmosphere will find everything they need in Tonsai Bay, while others who prefer a more secluded area will want to consider whether they should stay in a more remote area.

The first stop on Phi Phi Island is Tongsai Bay, which is the only pier on Phi Phi Island, so you don't have to worry about traffic.

Koh Phi Phi Tour Packages

Phi Phi Island is about 20 kilometers away from Phuket Island, and the boat trip takes about 1.5 hours, so you can visit Koh Phi Phi, Koh Phi Phi Leh, Bamboo Island and Mosquito Island in one day, and the trip is hectic, so it is quite need physical strength.

Because of the long distance, the choice of boats is also more limited, most of them are fast boats, or fast yachts. But in this couples can enjoy the stunning island scenery and Hollywood blockbuster-style beauty.

Honeymoon hotels in Koh Phi Phi

The most concentrated area for accommodation on Phi Phi Island is Tongsai Bay (central part of the island), which is like a small Patong with lots of restaurants, bars, stores and hotels, so eating, staying and playing here are not a problem.

The northern part of Phi Phi Island and Long Beach are more peaceful and comfortable, and the scenery is better than Tongsai Bay, but there are not many options to eat, and the most convenient is to eat in the hotel. If you live in the north or Long Beach, then you basically have to take a shuttle boat to Tongsai Bay.

If you want to stay in the northern part of the island or Long Beach, you should pay attention to the hotel to see if it offers a free shuttle boat service. Some hotels provide free shuttle boats, while others ask for a fee.

How many days?

For most of tourists, Phi Phi Island hotel is suitable for arriving at night, then the second day for tour and the third day to leave, so that the itinerary is comfortable.

If you have plenty of time for honeymoon in Phi Phi Island, you can stay in Phi Phi Island for 3 nights. It is recommended to stay near Tongsai Pier the first day, then charter a boat for a day trip on the second day, then stay at a hotel in the north of Phi Phi Island for two nights, and leave on the fourth day.

How to get to Koh Phi Phi

Tickets for the big boat to PP Island can be booked in advance at UME Travel, usually departure from Phuket Rassada Pier. You can also book round-trip ferry tickets.

The current tickets from and to Koh Phi Phi are mainly operated by two boat companies - Chao koh Group and Andaman wave.

Getting around Koh Phi Phi

There are speedboats and long-tail boats in Tongsai Bay of Koh Phi Phi. You can charter a long-tail boat by yourself or carpool with other tourists, and you can ask the boatman to take you to Phi Phi Leh or the nearby Khai Island and Koh Rong for a tour.

The boat charter does not include the island fee, so you have to pay for the island fee if you want to go to Maya Bay or other nearby islands.

There are also boats that can be chartered at the northern pier of Phi Phi Island, but the price will be more expensive and there will be fewer people on the boat (because there are fewer hotels).
