Day 1 - Welcome to Cambodia!
ជំរាបសួរ chôm rab suôr!Welcome to Siem Reap,your private guide will meet with you at airport and take you to hotel for check in. In your free time in the afternoon, strolling the streets of Siem Reap and explore the city.
Day 2 - Bike Tour in Angkor
Today you will start your bike tour (45 minutes for cycling) around the world heritage areas on the roads less travelled. Ride among the jungle passing local village and local shop. It’s a very special and acting day as you will explore some of Angkor’s most beautiful temples. You will visit the West Gate of Angkor Thom – undiscovered by mass tourist.
You will first visit The ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century),see the South Gate, Bayon Temple- unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara. Continue to visit Baphuon temple, Phimeanakas,The Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.
In the aftenroon, visiting to the famous temple: Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology, visit Bakheng Temple and enjoy a romantic sun set view form Bakheng hill.
Day 3 - Banteay Srei & Ta Prohm Temple
If you want, you can take the early morning trip witness sunrise over Angkor Wat temple and listening singing birds over the ancient land of Angkor area, you also have the chance for a friendly talk with the monks and nuns at a nearby pagoda. After the sunrise tour, breakfast either at hotel or take away is available.
Start the day by visiting Banteay Srei Temples, nearly everyone's favorite site. The special charm of this temple lies in its compact size, remarkable state of preservation, and the excellence of it decorative carving.Continue to visit Banteay Samre, Its rose-colored sandstone walls are decorated with carvings and bas-reliefs, which are among the most accomplished Angkor has to offer.
Have lunch at a local restaurant for exotic cuisine.Ta Prohm temple and Banteay Kdei are your next stops before some leisure time in the late afternoon.
Day 4 - Drive towards Anlong Veng to Preah Vihear
This morning, we will drive toward Anlong Veng, it's known as Khmer Rouge Cultural Site, the last stronghold of Khmer Rouge leaders. We will visit the house that once was owned by former Khmer Rouge Commander Ta Mok (1979 â€" 1997) some remaining statues describe the way the rebels lived and how they arranged their troops during their bloody struggle again the government. We will take a half an hour to walk to a pile of tires which is believed to be the funeral pyre and burial site of Pol Pot, the leader of the Khmer Rouge. Then we continue to Preah Vihear by new branch road. If time permits, we will drive up Preah Viear Mountain to observe the sunset over the ancient land of Khmer empire.
Stay overnight in Preah Vihear.
Day 5 - Visit Sambor Prei Kuk
Early morning we wake up early for sunrise, and then we continue to Kompong Thom. Then you will go to the archeological sight of Sambor Prei Kuk, which is dotted with hundred Pre-Angkor styled temples. The site, part of the Chenla Kingdom, includes an area of nearly 1000 acres enclosed by double walls, and hundreds temples and towers; its construction predates Angkor Wat by several centuries. The road conditions are very poor, but the spectacular scenery, with a mixture of temples and forest makes the hardship all worthwhile for your real experience Cambodia tour.Upon arrival at Kompong Thom, check in to hotel and relaxe.
Day 6 - The Temple of Kuk Hak Nokor
After breakfast, we will escort you to Phnom Penh capital of Cambodia via Kampong Cham province, stop on the visit a local village and check out fried spiders, a famous local delicacy. Afternoon continue to visit the temple of Kuk Hak Nokor. On arrival check in at Hotel and stay overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 7 - Full Day Explore Phnom Penh
Today a fullday city tour introduces you to the sights of Phnom Penh, a city that lies near the confluence of the Mekong and Tonle Sap rivers.It remains a living relic of the country’s past struggles and successes.You will be transferred to Royal Palace, and visit the Silver Pagoda, National Museum and Wat Phnom. Have lunch at local restaurant before a visit to Tuol Sleng Prison Museum,a former school that served as a Khmer Rouge torture centre, and it’s estimated that more than 20,000 people were held and tortured here.The Killing Fields of Choeung Ek which tells the story of the tragic legacy of the Khmer Rouge.The Choeung Ek Memorial,home to stupa made up of some 8,000 human skulls, marking the site of the infamous Killing Fields.This was the execution ground for the torture victims of Tuol Sleng, and standing in this peaceful setting it's almost unthinkable to imagine that to date nearly 9,000 corpses have been exhumed from the area.
