Day 1 - Welcome to Jakarta!

Om Swastiastu! Welcome to Jakarta! Upon arrival at International Airport, Your English Speaking Tour Guide will be waiting for you at the main gate, holding the signboard with your name. After a warm welcome, the guide will take you directly to your hotel for check-in. During the transfer, your guide will give you some brief information about your hotel, its surroundings, and about Jakarta – he will explain your program for the following days and set up it's the timing at your convenience. Check-in at your hotel and rest of the time is at leisure to explore this beautiful place on your own.

Day 2 - Jakarta Highlights: Port, History, and Monuments

Jakarta City Tour brings you to see at glance the old and new Jakarta. Old Jakarta is the beginning of present Jakarta Metropolitan city with population around 10 million people which is one of the biggest cities in Far East Asia after Tokyo, Shanghai, and Bangkok. The tour will take you to visit Sunda Kelapa Port – a 500-year-old harbor which was built during the Hindu Kingdom of Pajajaran, or Pasundan covering West Java including current Banten province, and a vital link to markets of the outside world. Jakarta is a historical city for Indonesia and relics of ancient Jakarta is preserved at National Museum, where the remnants and historical facts of Jakarta are preserved, also presenting old maps, antiques, and Chinese porcelains. The most popular site in the city of Jakarta is the Old Batavia City, as most of the ancient building especially during the Dutch colonization of Indonesia were located on this area. Refreshment and /or lunch can be arranged at a recommended restaurant, at extra cost (guests’ personal account). A drive passing Glodok – the first China town in Indonesia Presidential Palace, National Monuments, and the cathedral, can be arranged at the preference of the guests. (The Sequence of the tour will be based on the traffic conditions and the guide’s judgment).

Day 3 - Departure to Pangkalan Bun and Orangutan Adventure Begins

Your guide will escort you to the airport for your onward flight.

Welcome to the Wild Heart of Borneo!

Your Borneo adventure begins the moment you touch down at Pangkalan Bun Airport. A comfortable 30-minute transfer will whisk you to Kumai River port, where you'll embark on a scenic 2.5-hours journey aboard a traditional 'Klotok' riverboat. As you glide along the Sekonyer River, prepare to be captivated by the lush landscapes leading to the secluded Rimba Orangutan Ecolodge. A warm welcome lunch awaits, setting the stage for an unforgettable afternoon. Later, a short 'Klotok' ride will take you to the Tanjung Harapan feeding station, where you'll witness the majestic orangutans, including a dominant alpha male, during the 3:00 PM feeding. After this incredible experience, enjoy a delicious dinner and a peaceful overnight stay at Rimba Lodge. 

Please note: This half-day tour is best suited for arrivals before midday. If your flight arrives later, the Tanjung Harapan visit can be seamlessly integrated into your Day 3 itinerary."

Day 4 - Camp Leakey Exploration and Orangutan Encounters

After a hearty breakfast at Rimba Ecolodge, prepare for an extraordinary day as you venture to the legendary Camp Leakey, a cornerstone of orangutan research and conservation. This is arguably the most famous orangutan research site in the world. Enjoy a scenic river journey, savouring a delicious lunch onboard as you approach this iconic location. Upon arrival, a visit to the Education Centre is a must, offering invaluable insights into the ground-breaking work of Professor Dr. Birute Galdikas and the Orangutan Foundation International USA. Keep your eyes peeled for agile gibbons and wild pigs that often frequent the camp.

After savoring the orangutan encounters, enjoy a delightful lunch onboard as you journey to the Tanjung Harapan feeding station. Arrive in time for the afternoon feeding, where you'll be captivated by the sight of more orangutans, including a powerful alpha male. Back to the lodge for overnight and dinner.

Day 5 - Wildlife Wonders at Pondok Tanggui and Local Village Visit

Awake to the sounds of the rainforest and enjoy an early breakfast before embarking to the Buluh Kecil river. You spend about 45 minutes on the small boat to see the wildlife along the river. Back to the you Klotok for captivating river journey upstream to Pondok Tanggui. Arrive in time for the morning feeding, where you'll witness orangutans in their natural habitat. As you walk through the lush forest, keep an eye out for giant squirrels, wild pigs, and a kaleidoscope of vibrant butterflies. And, of course, observe the impressive presence of a dominant alpha male. 

The night walk is also available at Tanjung Harapan including the dinner experience on the boat. Extend your experience by visiting the local Tanjung Harapan village, gaining insights into the traditional way of life in this remote corner of Borneo. As evening approaches, return to Rimba Ecolodge for a well-deserved dinner. For the adventurous, a night walk is available to discover the secrets of the rainforest after dark. Day 6 - Farewell to Pangkalan Bun and Komodo Arrival

Begin your final day with a peaceful breakfast at Rimba Lodge, absorbing the serene atmosphere of your rainforest retreat. Then, step aboard your 'Klotok' for a gentle cruise down the Sekonyer River, allowing the sights and sounds of Tanjung Puting to create a lasting impression. Listen to the symphony of the rainforest, and as you approach Kumai, the unique sounds of swiftlet farming will add another layer to your sensory experience.

Your journey concludes with a transfer from Kumai harbor to Pangkalan Bun Airport, where you'll depart with a heart full of cherished memories from your Bornean adventure."

Day 7 - Komodo Island Adventure: Dragons, Beaches, and Marine Life

Spend your time only 1 Day to exploring top 6 Destinations in Komodo National Park by using Fast Boat Private, Do hike to the summit of the highest point of Padar to look over the blend of amazing landscape and seascape, separated by secluded coastline.  Do trekking on Komodo Island to see the Komodo dragons as the ancient and the only living lizard in the world.  Do swim or snorkeling at Pink Beach a white and pink colored sands beach on the island of Komodo.  Do swim or snorkeling at Manta Point to see the Manta rays including Taka Makassar and Kanawa Island, a secluded island with crystal sandy beach and blue seawater.  The island is fully surrounded by an untouched coral reef where turtles and thousands of other sea creatures live.

Day 8 - Sunset Magic and Snorkeling Bliss in Komodo

What To Expect 

Kelor Island 

Cruise to Kelor Island, hike to the top of Kelor Island to see 360 degree view over the Komodo National Park.

Manjarite Beach 

Manjarite beach is a shallow beach of 3-5 meters deep with clear visibility. Various colorful fishes such as clownfish, scorpionfish, angelfish, and even blue ribbon eels can be seen easily, making this place the perfect spot for snorkeling. Continue to Kambing Island for another snorkeling. 

Kalong (Flying Foxes) Island 

Continue with snorkeling to observe the beauty of marine life near Majerite Island and end with fabulous sunset at Kalong Island while seeing flying foxes fly away from their nest for food hunt at the night. Once night falling return to Labuan Bajo
