Day 3 - Lhasa to Shigatse: Turquoise Waters of Lake Yamdrok, Ancient Glaciers and Tibetan Monastery Treasures

Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Lhasa towards Shigatse, first stopping at the breathtaking Lake Yamdrok (Yamdrok Yumtso), one of Tibet's three sacred lakes. Day 4 - Shigatse to Everest Region: Tashilhunpo Monastery and the Majestic Panorama of Five Himalayan Giants

Morning departure from Shigatse. Tour Duration: Approximately 10-12 hours. Day 7 - Mount Kailash Kora Day One: Trekking from Darchen to Drirapuk Monastery Through Prayer Flag Valleys

You will begin the sacred kora around Mount Kailash (6,638m), the world's most revered peak recognised by Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism, Bon and Jainism as the centre of the universe. Take an eco-shuttle bus for 6km before commencing your 14km trek. You will pass the Prayer Flag Square marking the official start of the kora, visit Chuku Monastery and admire the magnificent south face of Mount Kailash along the way. The trek concludes at Drirapuk Monastery (5,210m), covering approximately 20km in total over 6-8 hours. This moderate-difficulty trek offers a profound spiritual journey through one of the world's most sacred landscapes.

Day 8 - Mount Kailash Kora Day Two: Conquering Drolma La Pass and Descending to Zutulpuk Monastery

You will undertake the most challenging day of the Mount Kailash kora, trekking 18km entirely on foot. Ascend to Drolma La Pass at 5,630 metres, the highest point of the entire circuit, where colourful prayer flags flutter in the wind creating a sacred and solemn atmosphere. Descend to the beautiful Gauri Kund (Lake of Compassion), a stunning turquoise lake nestled like white jade amongst the mountains below the pass. Continue your descent along steep sections to Zutulpuk Monastery at 4,880 metres. This demanding 8-10 hour trek requires careful attention on the steep downhill sections, offering both physical challenge and profound spiritual reward.

Day 9 - Mount Kailash Kora Completion: Final Descent to Darchen and Transfer to Shiquanhe

You will complete the final and most relaxed stage of the sacred Mount Kailash kora, trekking 7km downhill followed by a 4km eco-shuttle bus ride back to Darchen (4,675m). This relatively easy 3-4 hour trek marks the completion of your spiritual journey around one of the world's most sacred peaks. After finishing the kora, you will transfer by vehicle to Shiquanhe (Sengge Tsangpo), the capital of Ngari Prefecture, carrying with you the profound blessings and memories of this extraordinary pilgrimage through the heart of Tibet's most revered landscape.
