Day 1 - Arrive in Bangkok!
สวัสดีค่ะ Sawasdee ka！Welcome to Thailand! On arrival in Bangkok, your private guide will welcome you at the arrival hall and transfer you to your hotel with a private car and driver. Your guide will help you with luggage and hotel check-in and ensure your arrival is worry-free.
The rest of the day is arranged on your own. You may need some time to relax and recover from the long-distance flight or possibly from jet-lag. If you feel like going for a walk and checking out places nearby, feel free to ask your guide for recommendations for good dining or places to see.
Day 2 - Floating Market & The Grand Palace
Depart early morning for a 2-hour drive to the 100-year-old Damnoen Saduak Floating Market located 100 km (62 mi) from Bangkok, one of Thailand’s most famous attractions. Day-in and day-out from about 8 am to about 11 am, the Floating Market is routinely crowded with hundreds of vendors and purchasers floating in their small rowing boats selling and buying or exchanging their goods. You will have a chance to take a ride on a long tail boat to get the real sense of a floating village. After the long tail boat cruise around the village, you will stop at a transit point where you can choose to further explore the floating market by a 4-seat boat (at your own expense) or stroll around by the river's banks.
After having lunch, you will return to Bangkok, and you will visit Wat Pho, which is one of Bangkok’s oldest and largest temples. Wat Pho was built by King Rama I about 200 years ago and houses the gigantic, gold-plated Reclining Buddha image. This unique image is 49 meters long and 12 meters high with beautifully inlaid mother-of-pearl soles. Your last stop is The Royal Grand Palace, the nation's landmark and the most revered royal monument. You will see the Palace, which is used for many different occasions, and you will see The Coronation Hall, the Funeral Hall, the Royal Guest House, and the mysterious, famous Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew), the most revered Buddha image in Thailand. Then return to the hotel.
Wear something light and long when you visit palaces or temples. You'll need to wear pants or a dress/skirt that extends well past your knees, and a top that fully covers your shoulders. If you don't, the Grand Palace does offer clothes rental service in which you can borrow some stylish trousers and/or tops for a refundable 200 baht deposit from an office near the entrance. Hang onto your claim ticket, however, as you will need it to get that deposit back.
Day 3 - Fly to Chiang Mai
You will take your internal flight to the historical and colorful city of Chiang Mai. Chiang Mai, located in the north of Thailand, with its lovely Lanna temples, charming traditions, fantastic food, family-friendly attractions, and stunning setting is a gem in Thailand’s northern hills. There’s so much for tourists to do here, from cultural exploration to adventurous treks and food tours. Your private guide is waiting for you at the airport to take you by private car to your hotel.
Chiang Mai is a shopping paradise, with its famous arts and crafts. Nothing beats shopping for a bargain in the famous Chiang Mai Night Bazaar. The Night Bazaar, on the east side of the old walled city, is approximately 1km long. This evening, you can explore the night bazaar and find all the unique handicrafts and souvenirs you need along the street, plus a heap of mobile food street stalls.
Day 4 - Chiang Mai Temples & Local Hill Tribe
Your Chiang Mai temple tour takes you on an unforgettable drive through many different parts of the city. Passing markets, residential areas, foreign consulates and establishments, government buildings, and Ta-Pae, Chiang Mai's main street. You will visit four of the most important temples: Wat Chiang Man (AD 1297), the oldest temple within the city walls; Wat Chedi Luang (AD 1411), where the Emerald Buddha was once enshrined; Wat Pra Singh (AD 1345), housing a very sacred 1,500-year-old Buddha image; and Wat Suan Dok (AD 1371), where the ashes of Chiang Mai's Royal Family are interred.
After having lunch, a relaxing drive about 1hr takes you to the Doi Suthep Mountain. Climb 309 steps to the top (For the less active traveler, a tram is available for a small surcharge.), enjoying the truly breathtaking scenery all along the way. You will find Wat Phra That at the very top, one of Northern Thailand’s most sacred temples. At the top, rest and relax while marveling at the panoramic views of the city of Chiang Mai.
Next, take an adventurous ride on a songthaew across the rugged roads toward the exotic Meo hill tribe villages, which are located a further 18 Kilometers from Wat Doi Suthep into the mountains of Doi Suthep Pui National Park. You will visit a native household and discover the daily lives of the friendly villagers. Learn about their unique customs and heritage before returning to your hotel in Chiang Mai.
Day 5 - Half Day Elephant Sanctuary
A half-day package to the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary offers you an enjoyable opportunity to spend quality time with elephants in their natural home, as well as gain an insight into their history and behavior, and create cherished lifelong memories of their time spent with these amazing animals.
Today you will be picked up from your place of accommodation and will drive through scenic agricultural areas before arriving at the Sanctuary. There, you will meet your English-speaking guide and learn a little about the elephants, before changing into traditional Karen clothing.
After being allocated bananas and sugar cane to feed to the elephants, you will walk with your guide through the Sanctuary, where you will find free-roaming elephants and hear their individual stories. You can touch, feed, photograph, and interact with the elephants at your leisure while you learn about their lifestyle and behaviors.
After the close encounter with the elephant, you have head to visit Doi Suthep Mountain. Climb 309 steps (or for the less fitness-oriented, a tram is available for a small surcharge) to the top, enjoying a truly breathtaking scenery all along the way up to the top where you will find Wat Phra That, one of Northern Thailand’s most sacred temples. Have a panoramic view of the city of Chiang Mai.
In your free time, you can choose to explore some of the must-see temples in Chiang Mai's old cities by yourself. Most all the temples are within walking distance in the central area: Wat Chiang Man, Wat Pra Singh, Tha Pae Gate, etc.

Savor a five-course dinner buffet accompanied by wine. You’re served mouthwatering Thai dishes such as dom yam goon (hot and sour soup with prawns), whole steamed fish with rice, cashew chicken, and fried vegetables. Soak up the serenity as you cruise to Ko Lawa to watch the sunset without the crowds.
