Day 2 - Enchanting Hokkaido Expedition | Hokkaido-Jingu,Shiroi Koibito Park,Otaru Canal, Tanaka Sake Brewing (Private Guide)

In 1964, Hokkaido Jingu enshrined Emperor Meiji with the permission of Emperor Showa, and currently enshrines four gods. The guardian deity who watches over the development of Hokkaido and the happiness of its people is still deeply involved in the lives of the people of Hokkaido, starting with the New Year's visit to the shrine, exorcising evil spirits, setsubun, and weddings. The precincts are rich in nature, and wild Ezo squirrels can be seen on the grounds.Shiroi Koibito is the name of the famous European-style biscuit manufactured in Hokkaido. It is a popular sweet that everyone knows as a souvenir from Hokkaido. Shiroi Koibito Park is a theme park with this Shiroi Koibito theme as its main theme. You can see everything about chocolate, such as the history of chocolate, a valuable art collection, and the production line of Shiroi Koibito. The Otaru Canal is a waterway that supported the maritime transportation of the port city of Otaru, which supported the development of Hokkaido. Along the Otaru Canal, there are many historic brick buildings and warehouses, creating a nostalgic scenery unique to Otaru.Unlike most breweries in Japan, Tanaka Sake Brewing is able to brew sake all year round, and these warehouses are the reason why.  They’re the only sake brewing facilities in Hokkaido that are not dependent on the season, allowing you to enjoy freshly brewed sake even in summer.
