Taiwan Cities and Landscapes Tour

Today you will fly to Taipei. On arrival, your private guide and driver will be ready to welcome you at the arrival hall, and transfer to your hotel. They will help you with luggage and hotel check-in, and ensure your arrival is worry-free.

After a private pick up, you will head to the first attraction on your Taiwan itinerary which is the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall. It’s a great start to your trip because you get to learn about Taiwan’s rich history as well as have a chance to see a famous landmark. 

The next attraction on your Taiwan itinerary is the Taipei 101 Observatory where you can take pictures and see a bird’s eye view of the whole city. Then roll through Ximending, Taipei’s lively youth district, full of street food, quirky shops

Conclude your day with a taste of Taipei’s vibrant night market scene -  Shilin Night Market for some yummy food options. You’ve got to try Xiao Long Bao made with real crab meat and pork and fried chicken fillets that are the size of your face. 

Today offers a blend of creativity, nature, and relaxation. Start your morning at Huashan 1914 Creative Park, where old factory buildings now house art galleries, design shops, and cozy cafés. Afterward, head into the green landscapes of Yangmingshan National Park, with its fumaroles, rolling hills, and scenic walking trails that showcase the beauty of northern Taiwan. As evening approaches, unwind in the soothing waters of Beitou Hot Springs, a peaceful retreat where mineral-rich baths provide the perfect end to the day.

Embark on an exciting journey from Taipei to the northeast, exploring Taiwan's most picturesque destinations along the way. Begin at Shifen Old Street, a charming railway town where you'll experience the traditional Sky Lantern Release, writing your wishes on colorful lanterns before releasing them into the sky. Visit the stunning Shifen Waterfall, known as Taiwan's "Little Niagara," surrounded by lush greenery and dramatic rock formations.

Continue to the enchanting Jiufen Old Street, a hillside mining town with narrow alleyways, traditional teahouses, and panoramic ocean views that inspired Studio Ghibli's "Spirited Away."

Today,  you’ll begin your journey from Taipei to the scenic Sun Moon Lake, located in central Taiwan. The lake gets its name from its distinctive shape—resembling the sun on one side and the moon on the other—separated by Lalu Island. This beautiful region is home to the indigenous Thao people and is known for its tranquil surroundings and rich cultural heritage.

Upon arrival, you’ll explore the highlights of Sun Moon Lake by private car. Your first stop is Ita Thao Village, where you’ll gain insight into the traditions and daily life of the Thao community. Then, visit Ci’en Pagoda, a landmark built by Chiang Kai-shek to honor his mother.

Continue to Xuanzang Temple, a peaceful retreat dedicated to the famous monk, and then to the grand Wenwu Temple, which honors both civil and martial deities. Throughout the day, your guide will provide background on the area's cultural and historical significance.

After the tour, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for the evening. 

Travel south on Taiwan’s High-Speed Rail to Kaohsiung, a city where tradition blends with coastal charm. Start at the colorful Dragon & Tiger Pagodas on Lotus Pond, where walking through the dragon and tiger is said to turn bad luck into good fortune. If time allows, take a short ferry to Cijin Island to enjoy sea views, a lighthouse walk, and fresh seafood by the shore. In the evening, dive into the lively energy of Liuhe Night Market, sampling local favorites like oyster omelets and papaya milk as neon lights and bustling crowds capture the city’s vibrant spirit.

Board the High-Speed Rail in Kaohsiung and journey back to Taipei in under two hours.
