Day 1 - Arrival in Beijing
Upon your arrival in Beijing, your driver will welcome you at your airport’s arrival hall and get you to your hotel in a private vehicle.
One of our pro English-speaking guides shall assist you throughout your trip.
Day 2 - Beijing's Historic Treasures | Tian'anmen, Forbidden City, Jingshan Park, Rickshaw Ride through Hutongs
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Tian'anmen Square, the world's largest public square and a symbol of China. It's witnessed decades of historic events.
Walk across the square and explore the awe-inspiring Forbidden City, the world's largest palace complex and former home to 24 emperors. With over 8,728 rooms, it's China's best-preserved ancient building collection. Enter through the Meridian Gate and explore the central axis to see highlighted palaces and learn about the emperors' stories.
Later, take a 15-minute walk to Jingshan Park for a panoramic view of modern Beijing and the Forbidden City. After lunch, enjoy a rickshaw tour through the historic Hutongs, immersing yourself in local life.
Day 3 - Great Wall Marvels and Temple Serenity | Mutianyu Great Wall, Temple of Heaven Park, Tai Chi Session
Today, you'll journey to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. You'll ascend to the wall via cable car, where you can get a stunning aerial view of the wall and its surroundings. Once you're atop the wall, you'll be able to stroll along its storied pathways, watchtowers, and taking in the vast, panoramic views of the area's rolling hills and valleys.
In the afternoon, you’ll head over to the courtyards of the Temple of Heaven Park. Your tour guide will share the temple’s history and stories, showing you what emperor worship was like. You'll visit major sites within the park, including the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest, the Echo Wall, the Nine-Dragon Cypress, and the Circular Mound Altar, among others.
Afterwards, you’ll get to join in a Tai Chi session with locals at the park. This traditional Chinese martial art is a beloved morning ritual practiced daily by Beijing residents. It's a unique opportunity to connect with locals through this ancient practice.
Day 4 - Palatial Splendor and Spiritual Tranquility | Summer Palace, Yonghe Temple, Hall of Dispelling Clouds, Tower of Buddhist Incense, Train to Xi'an
Begin your day at the Summer Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore the East Gate’s Hall of Benevolence and Longevity, stroll along the Long Corridor, and view the Marble Boat.
As you return through the palace, visit the tranquil Yonghe Temple, known for its unique blend of Tibetan and Han Chinese architecture.
Continue to the Hall of Dispelling Clouds and the Tower of Buddhist Incense, and end your tour at the north gate of the Summer Palace.
Enjoy some free time until your guide arrives to take you to the high-speed train station. You’ll then embark on a 4.5-hour ride to Xi'an. Upon arrival, your personal guide will greet you at the station and transfer you to your hotel with a private car, where you’ll be assisted with your luggage and check-in.
Day 5 - Discover Xi'an's Ancient Marvels | Terracotta Army, Bell & Drum Towers Square, Muslim Quarter, Great Mosque
Depart from your hotel and venture to the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage-listed site of the Terracotta Army: rows of 7,000 life-sized terracotta figures and horses buried beside Emperor Qin Shihuang in his majestic mausoleum. Browse the exhibitions of the museum to gain further insight into the intriguing history of the tomb.
Later this afternoon, take a walk on the Bell & Drum Tower Square and from where you could pay an outer visit of the two towers. The two towers were also built in the Ming Dynasty and the Drum Tower is 4 years older than the Bell Tower.
At the Muslim Quarter food street, you will meet lots of local food and snacks, as well as some little souvenirs. If you are interested in local food, it is a good place to satisfy your stomach.
At last, you’ll visit the Great Mosque, a major site for the Muslim community in Xi’an. This mosque, different from the mosques we usually see, is more like a traditional Chinese garden. For example, you will see Chinese pavilions with painted beams and engraved ridgepoles. At last, transfer you back to hotel.
Day 6 - Exploring Ancient Wonders | Shaanxi Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Train Ride to Lhasa
You’ll begin your journey at the Shaanxi History Museum. This museum houses an extensive collection of artifacts, ranging from ancient art and sculptures to historical relics from throughout the region's rich and ancient history.
Next, you’ll visit the iconic Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayanta). This architectural marvel which dates back to the Tang Dynasty offers breathtaking views of Xi'an at its very top.
Enjoy your free time until your guide comes and escort you to high-speed train station for a 4.5-hour ride from to Lhasa. Upon arrival, your personal guide will transport you to your hotel with a private vehicle and driver. Your guide will help you with luggage and hotel check-in.
Day 7 - Immersing in Sacred Serenity | Drepung and Sera Monasteries of Lhasa
You’ll begin the day exploring the Drepung Monastery, once Tibet’s largest and most influential monastic institution. Set against the scenic Lhasa Valley, this historic site is alive with the chants of monks and filled with centuries old history. Wander through its maze of corridors, admire intricate murals, visit the sacred assembly halls, and witness the daily rituals that uphold its spiritual heritage.
Next, you’ll head to the Sera Monastery. Marvel at the monastery’s unique architecture, with ornate carvings and colorful prayer flags. You might even get to watch a Sera Debate, where the monastery’s monks engage in passionate philosophical discussions on Buddhist that the public are allowed to attend.
Day 8 - Discovering Lhasa's Spiritual Heart | Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street
You’ll begin your day at the Potala Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an architectural marvel that dominates the Lhasa skyline. Explore its intricate artwork, sacred relics, and stunning panoramic views from the highest ancient palace in the world. Discover the rich history of Tibetan Buddhism and the Dalai Lama.
Next, you’ll visit the Jokhang Temple, the holiest site in Tibetan Buddhism. You’ll admire its ornate Tibetan architecture, vibrant murals, and prayer wheels, and experience some of the rituals and prayers which occur here.
Then you’ll get to explore Barkhor Street, a lively marketplace and pilgrimage route. Wander among traditional Tibetan homes, souvenir shops, and street vendors, and immerse yourself in the vibrant sights, sounds, and flavors of local life.
Day 9 - Fly to Chengdu
Enjoy your free time until your guide come and escort you to airport for your onward flight.

Day 11 - Fly to Shanghai

Day 12 - Exploring Shanghai's Essence | French Concession, Yuyuan Garden, Old city God Temple, Shanghai Old Street, Nongtang, Xintiandi Style Shopping Center, Bund
Your tour in Shanghai will start with a visit to the French Concession, a former French colonial area that was returned to China in 1946. Despite modern redevelopment, this district retains its unique charm as a premier residential and retail area.
You'll also explore the Yuyuan Garden, a classic oriental garden, and the Chenghuangmiao (Old City God Temple) nearby.
