Day 4 - Water Temple & Kintamani

Enjoy a day exploring the highlights of central Bali. Our journey begins in the heart of Ubud at Pura Taman Saraswati, a beautiful water temple featuring classic Balinese architecture and an impressive foyer featuring ponds filled with blooming pink lotuses. Dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of learning, literature and art, the temple is well-hidden in Ubud center and the perfect starting point for our day.

The holy Pakerisan River flows through the center of Gunung Kawi cutting the site into two separate sections with a bridge to connect one side to the other. It is believed the holy waters of the Pakerisan sanctify Gunung Kawi and the beauty of the place evokes a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere.

After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, we travel to Kintamani to enjoy spectacular views of Mount Batur. With ribbons of black lava running down from its peak to the valley below, Batur’s crater is holy and a sanctuary at the top is dedicated to a fertility goddess.

The route back to your hotel takes you to our last stop, one of Bali’s holy springs called Toya Devasya. An infinity hot spring pool sitting on the edge of Lake Batur, you’ll put on your bathers and enjoy the spiritual waters that offer an unmatched, majestic panorama of Mount Batur. This is the ultimate relaxing way to end the day.
