Day 1 - Welcome to Vietnam!
Welcome to Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City. You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel. In your free time, we encourage you to head out and get your first taste of what Ho Chi Minh City has to offer.
Day 2 - Cu Chi Tunnel and Reunification Palace
This morning set out for the incredible underground Cu Chi Tunnels, and then drive back to Ho Chi Minh City to visit the War Remnants Museum and Reunification Palace (the former Presidential Palace), the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office and Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat) absolutely nice choices for a free stroll.
Day 3 - Mekong Delta & Home made Lunch
In the early morning, you will head out of the bustling city to Mekong Delta Area. Cruise on the Mekong river for sightseeing: the fish floating market, islands of Dragon, Unicorns, Turtles, and Phoenix. Land on Unicorn island, take a walk on the village road and visit an orchard of tropical fruits. Visit a bee farm, enjoy honey tea and visit a typical house in Mekong Delta. Visit the coconut candy workshop, and taste fresh candies. Enjoy tropical fruits at a local farm, and listen to Southern traditional music.
Next to land on Dragon island, transfer by cyclo or motorbike to local home. Have a homemade lunch and enjoy cooking time with some dishes such as “Banh Xeo” (Vietnamese crepe); Spring Rolls.... with the owners. After lunch, return to the boat station. Transfer back to Saigon. End of tour at your hotel.
Day 4 - Fly to Hanoi
Today you will have free time till your guide escorts you to airport for your flight to Hanoi.On arrival at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, our tour guide greets you at the airport and transfer to hotel in the center of Hanoi. Hotel checks in upon arrival, the rest of the day is yours to relax, or head out into the city for a little adventure on your own.
Day 5 - Hanoi City Tour & Water Puppet Show
In the morning, visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh House on Stilts, One Pillar Pagoda, Hoa Lo prison and Temple of Literature (the first university in Hanoi). After lunch, you will visit Museum of Ethnology and take a rickshaw ride through the Old Quarter about 1 hr. Then pay a visit to Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple. The tour comes to an end by enjoying a Water Puppet Show to learn more about Vietnamese traditional culture.
Day 6 - Overnight Cruise on Halong Bay
After breakfast, you will take a private transfer for about 3 hrs to Halong City, where you will begin your one and a half days' Halong Bay cruise. You will board the tradtional Vietnamese junk in the afternoon and cruise around the Halong Bay's limestone islets and caves doted the sea and see the sun set over the clam waters at the deck. Enjoy a wonderful dinner at evening. All meals are included during your stay on board. There are also a variety of optional activities waiting for you. Such as swimming, kayaking, diving...etc.
Day 7 - Morning Activities & Fly to Chiang Mai
Wake up early this morning to catch the sunrise over the bay with a Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck. Continue cruising and you can choose either kayak or traditional rowing boat to around discover local life on the waters. Disembark at Tuan Chau International Passenger Port at around 11:00, where your guide and driver will wait for you and drive you back to Hanoi (about 4hrs) for your flight to Chiang Mai.
On arrival in Chiang Mai, Your guide will be ready to welcome you at the arrival hall, and transfer to your hotel with a private car and driver. Your guide will help you with luggage and hotel check-in, and ensure your arrival in Thailand is worry-free.
Day 8 - Close Encounter with Elephant
A half-day package to the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary (join activity) offers you an enjoyable opportunity to spend quality time with elephants in their natural home, as well as gain an insight into their history and behavior, and create cherished lifelong memories of their time spent with these amazing animals.
Today you will be picked up (private transfer) from your place of accommodation and will drive through scenic agricultural areas before arriving at the Sanctuary. There, you will meet your English-speaking guide and learn a little about the elephants, before changing into traditional Karen clothing.
After being allocated bananas and sugar cane to feed the elephants, you will walk with your guide through the Sanctuary, where you will find free-roaming elephants and hear their individual stories. You can touch, feed, photograph, and interact with the elephants at your leisure while you learn about their lifestyle and behaviors.
After the close encounter with the elephant, you will return to your hotel, and the rest of the day is free at your leisure.
Day 9 - Doi Suthep Mountain & Meo Hill Tribe
Morning departure for an inspiring trip to Meo hill tribe villages, where you will observe their simple way of life which has been maintained unchanged for centuries. Interact with the villagers and your guide will work as your translator.
A relaxing drive of about 1hr takes you to Doi Suthep Mountain. Climb 309 steps (or for the less fitness-oriented, a tram is available for a small surcharge) to the top, enjoying a truly breathtaking scenery all along the way up to the top where you will find Wat Phra That, one of Northern Thailand’s most sacred temples. Have a panoramic view of the city of Chiang Mai. Return to Chiang Mai with lunch at a local restaurant en route.
Day 10 - Fly to Bangkok
Today you will fly from Chiang Mai to Bangkok. Upon arrival at Bangkok airport, your driver is waiting for you at the exit to take you by private car to your hotel. After settling down in your hotel, spend your free time at your own leisure!
Day 11 - Damnoen Saduak Floating Market & Grand Palace
Depart early morning for a 2-hour drive to the 100-year-old Damnoen Saduak Floating Market located 100 km (62 mi) from Bangkok, one of Thailand’s most famous attractions. Day-in and day-out from about 8 am to about 11 am, the Floating Market is routinely crowded with hundreds of vendors and purchasers floating in their small rowing boats selling and buying or exchanging their goods. You will have a chance to take a ride on a long-tail boat to get a real sense of a floating village. After the long tail boat cruise around the village, you will stop at a transit point where you can choose to further explore the floating market by a 4-seat boat (at your own expense) or stroll around by the river's banks.
After having lunch, you will return to Bangkok, and you will visit Wat Pho, which is one of Bangkok’s oldest and largest temples. Wat Pho was built by King Rama I about 200 years ago and houses the gigantic, gold-plated Reclining Buddha image. This unique image is 49 meters long and 12 meters high with beautifully inlaid mother-of-pearl soles. Your last stop is The Royal Grand Palace, the nation's landmark and the most revered royal monument. You will see the Palace, which is used for many different occasions, and you will see The Coronation Hall, the Funeral Hall, the Royal Guest House, and the mysterious, famous Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew), the most revered Buddha image in Thailand. Then return to the hotel.
Day 12 - UNESCO World Heritage - Ayutthaya
Depart for a 1.5-hour drive through Bangkok's rural outskirts to Ayutthaya History Park. Begin by visiting the Bang-Pa-In Summer Palace, located 60 kilometers north of Bangkok, an impressive architectural blend of East and West dating back to the 17th century. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Continue to Ayutthaya, which was the capital of the Thai Kingdom for 417 years. The city was founded in 1350 by King U-Thong and in 1767 it was destroyed by the Burmese army. Nowadays the ruins of the former city are on the UNESCO World Heritage list. You will take a local Tuk Tuk to stroll around the ruins of several ancient temples including Wat Phanancheong, Wat Mahathat, where the roots of a tree surround the head of Buddha; Wat Prasri Sanphet, a former royal temple during Ayutthaya days of glory; Elephant Camp, Wat Lokkaya (Wat Pranon), if time permits, Wat Chai Wattanaram, a perfect example of Khmer architectural influence. During the visit, your guide will take you to sample a notable local snack – Roti Sai Mai which is also referred to as "Sweet Angel Hair". After the visit, you will take a private car back to your hotel in Bangkok.
Day 13 - Fly to Phuket
Morning check out and transfer to the airport for your flight from Chiang Mai to Phuket. On arrival,your private guide will accompany with you for your hotel check-in. After settle down,relax poolside or head to the beach.
Day 14 - Free Time in Phuket
Day at leisure. Relax at your hotel or explore the surrounding area.
