Day 1 - Welcome to Phnom Penh!
សួស្ដី Sua s'dei! Welcome to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Your private guide will meet with you at airport and take you to hotel for check in. In your free time in the afternoon, strolling the streets of Phnom Penh and explore the city.
Day 2 - Hightlights of Phnom Penh
Today a full-day city tour introduces you to the sights of Phnom Penh, a city that lies near the confluence of the Mekong and Tonle Sap rivers. It remains a living relic of the country’s past struggles and successes. You will be transferred to Royal Palace, and visit the Silver Pagoda, National Museum, and Wat Phnom. Have lunch at a local restaurant before a visit to Tuol Sleng Prison Museum, a former school that served as a Khmer Rouge torture center, and it’s estimated that more than 20,000 people were held and tortured there. The Killing Fields of Choeung Ek tells the story of the tragic legacy of the Khmer Rouge. The Choeung Ek Memorial, home to a stupa made up of some 8,000 human skulls, marking the site of the infamous Killing Fields. This was the execution ground for the torture victims of Tuol Sleng, and standing in this peaceful setting it's almost unthinkable to imagine that to date nearly 9,000 corpses have been exhumed from the area.
Day 3 - Tara Prince Cruise to Siem Reap
The drive from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap can be long and bumpy, but you don't have to travel by road! Opt for the scenic route with this one-way Tara Prince Cruise and experience life along the Mekong River, It's a luxurious vessel, once owned by the prince of Cambodia. Day 4 - Angkor Wat & Bakheng Sunset
This morning you will be picked up at your accommodation in Siem Reap to begin your unforgettable Angkor Wat Tour. You will be transferred by private car to the West Gate of Angkor Thom – undiscovered by mass tourist.Your tour will include visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Angkor Period (AD 802-1432). Visit the breathtaking Bayon Temple, one of the most popular sites in Angkor complex with over 200 giant faces carved into its 54 towers. The temple was designed to represent the 54 provinces of the Khmer Empire and it still carries a completely majestic atmosphere. You will also visit Baphuon Temple,Phimeanakas Temple,the Terrace of the Elephant,the Terrace of the Leper King,and Royal Palace Temple.
In the afternoon, you will visit Angkor Wat Temple, one of the seven wonders of the world. Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. View sunset at Phnom Bakheng before heading back to your accommodation.
Notice: During the visit of Angkor Wat, Baphuon and Banteay Srey temple – visitors should wear Shirts or blouse covering shoulders and arms and long skirts or trousers covering legs. (No miniskirt or short trousers). Children under twelve years old are not allowed to climb up this tower. It will be closed on the Buddhist Sabbath Days, the Buddhist religious days, four days a month in accordance with the Lunar Calendar.
Day 5 - Banteay Srei & Ta Prohm Temple
If you want, you can take the early morning trip witness sunrise over Angkor Wat temple and listening singing birds over the ancient land of Angkor area, you also have the chance for a friendly talk with the monks and nuns at a nearby pagoda. After the sunrise tour, breakfast either at the hotel or takeaway is available.
Start the day by visiting Banteay Srei Temples, nearly everyone's favorite site. The special charm of this temple lies in its compact size, remarkable state of preservation, and the excellence of it decorative carving. Continue to visit Banteay Samre, Its rose-colored sandstone walls are decorated with carvings and bas-reliefs, which are among the most accomplished Angkor has to offer. Have lunch at a local restaurant for exotic cuisine. Ta Prohm temple and Banteay Kdei are your next stops before some leisure time in the late afternoon.
Day 6 - Fly to Ho Chi Minh & Ho Chi Minh Highlights
Your private guide will escort you to Siem Reap international airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, our guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to relax.
Spend the day visiting some of Ho Chi Minh City’s key highlights, with your guide by your side to offer local insight, you will visit Thien Hau Temple and Binh Tay Market. Lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, visit the War Remnants or History Museum and the former Presidential Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat). Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Hall are all within walking distance and absolutely nice choices for a free stroll.
Day 7 - Mekong Delta Exploration
In the early morning, you will head out of the bustling city to Mekong Delta Area. Cruising on the Mekong river for sightseeing: islands of Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, Phoenix.
Land on Unicorn island, take a walk on the village road, visit an orchard of tropical fruits. Visit a bee-farm, enjoy honey-tea and visit a typical house in Mekong Delta. Visit coconut candy workshop, taste fresh candies. Enjoy tropical fruits at local farm, listen to Southern traditional music.
Next to land on Dragon island, transfer by cyclo or motorbike to local home. Have a homemade lunch and enjoy cooking time with some dishes such as “Banh Xeo” (Vietnamese crepe); Spring Rolls.... with the owners. After lunch, return to boat station. Transfer back to Saigon. End of tour at your hotel.
Day 8 - Fly to Da Nang and Transfer to Hoi An
Your guide will escort you to the airport for your flight Da Nang. Upon arrival, you will transfer to Hoi An. Enroute, you will visit My Son Sanctuary, which is an experience that should not be missed while visiting the beautiful city of Hoi An, wander around the lost Champa Kingdom that dates back to the 3rd century, explore the temples and learn about the fascinating history behind this sanctuary of Hinduism. After check in at Hoi An, free time is at your leisures.
Day 9 - Hoi An Old Town & Fishing Village
We will start our walking tour around this charming ancient town visiting Chinese Assembly Hall & Temples, old houses (16th century), Japanese Covered Bridge.
Visit Hoi An's colorful market to explore the atmosphere of local life in the morning or afternoon, choose ingredients for cooking lunch or dinner, and get some tips for bargaining.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Hoi An to explore the Cam Thanh Coconut Village. You will get the experience of buffalo riding and Rowing basket boat through these small and beautiful channels Catching crabs with rods and special nets. Learn to cook 4 Vegetarian dishes and enjoy what you cooked.
Day 10 - Fly to Hanoi and Explore Hanoi City
You will take a private transfer to Da Nang for your flight. to Hanoi. On arrival, your private guide will welcome you at the arrival hall and transfer you to your hotel with a private car and driver. Your guide will help you with luggage and hotel check-in and ensure your arrival is worry-free.
On arrival at Hanoi. Your adventure in Vietnam begins today. Hanoi highlights urban adventure tour with an expert local guide will introduce you to the city. Start by visiting the Temple of Literature, drop into a traditional tea house, and learn the stories of the Hoa Lo Prison museum. This tour concludes at Hoan Kiem Lake, surrounded by modern office buildings and ancient Buddhist temples. Enjoy a performance of the unique Water Puppets.
Day 11 - Halong Bay Overnight Cruise
After breakfast, you will take a private transfer for about 3 hrs to Halong City, where you will begin your one and a half days' Halong Bay cruise. You will board the tradtional Vietnamese junk in the afternoon and cruise around the Halong Bay's limestone islets and caves doted the sea and see the sun set over the clam waters at the deck. Enjoy a wonderful dinner at evening. All meals are included during your stay on board. There are also a variety of optional activities waiting for you. Such as swimming, kayaking, diving...etc.
Day 12 - Morning Activities & Back to Hanoi
Wake up early this morning to catch the sunrise over the bay with a Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck. Continue cruising and you can choose either kayak or traditional rowing boat to around discovering local life on the waters. Disembark at Tuan Chau International Passenger Port at around 10:30 am, where your guide and driver will wait you and drive you back to Hanoi (about 3 hrs).
