Day 1 - Welcome to Phnom Penh!
សួស្ដី Sua s'dei! Welcome to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Your private guide will meet with you at airport and take you to hotel for check in. In your free time in the afternoon, strolling the streets of Phnom Penh and explore the city.
Day 2 - Learn the history of Cambodia
Today a fullday city tour introduces you to the sights of Phnom Penh, a city that lies near the confluence of the Mekong and Tonle Sap rivers.It remains a living relic of the country’s past struggles and successes.You will be transferred to Royal Palace, and visit the Silver Pagoda, National Museum and Wat Phnom. Have lunch at local restaurant before a visit to Tuol Sleng Prison Museum,a former school that served as a Khmer Rouge torture centre, and it’s estimated that more than 20,000 people were held and tortured here.The Killing Fields of Choeung Ek which tells the story of the tragic legacy of the Khmer Rouge.The Choeung Ek Memorial,home to stupa made up of some 8,000 human skulls, marking the site of the infamous Killing Fields.This was the execution ground for the torture victims of Tuol Sleng, and standing in this peaceful setting it's almost unthinkable to imagine that to date nearly 9,000 corpses have been exhumed from the area.
Day 3 - Fly to Siem Reap & Apsara Dinner Show
Today you will take a short flight to Siem Reap (approximately 1 hour). The small but expanding town of Siem Reap is the gateway to Angkor. This is the most popular destination for travellers in all of Cambodia, perhaps even in South East Asia. You'll probably notice a change of pace here, so, after pick up and transfer to your hotel,take a walk and enjoy the atmosphere.
This late afternoon, you will enjoy an Apsara Dinner Show. While dinning under the candle lit in the authentic Khmer set-up on the cozy low seats, you can indulge themselves with the Reamker (or Khmer Ramayana) and local folklore depicted through the traditional Khmer dancing accompanied by the Pinpat -the traditional Khmer orchestra. Empress the long lasting memory of Cambodian art & cultures.
Day 4 - Angkor Thom & Angkor Wat
This morning you will be picked up at your accommodation in Siem Reap to begin your unforgettable Angkor Wat Tour. You will be transferred by private car to the West Gate of Angkor Thom – undiscovered by mass tourist.Your tour will include visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Angkor Period (AD 802-1432). Visit the breathtaking Bayon Temple, one of the most popular sites in Angkor complex with over 200 giant faces carved into its 54 towers. The temple was designed to represent the 54 provinces of the Khmer Empire and it still carries a completely majestic atmosphere. You will also visit Baphuon Temple,Phimeanakas Temple,the Terrace of the Elephant,the Terrace of the Leper King,and Royal Palace Temple.
In the afternoon, you will visit Angkor Wat Temple, one of the seven wonders of the world. Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. View sunset at Phnom Bakheng before heading back to your accommodation.
Day 5 - Visit Banteay Srei & Ta Prohm
If you want, you can take the early morning trip witness sunrise over Angkor Wat temple and listening singing birds over the ancient land of Angkor area, you also have the chance for a friendly talk with the monks and nuns at a nearby pagoda. After the sunrise tour, breakfast either at hotel or take away is available.
Start the day by visiting Banteay Srei Temples, nearly everyone's favorite site. The special charm of this temple lies in its compact size, remarkable state of preservation, and the excellence of it decorative carving.Continue to visit Banteay Samre, Its rose-colored sandstone walls are decorated with carvings and bas-reliefs, which are among the most accomplished Angkor has to offer.
Have lunch at a local restaurant for exotic cuisine.Ta Prohm temple and Banteay Kdei are your next stops before some leisure time in the late afternoon.
Day 6 - Fly to Ho Chi Minh
After breakfast and check out from hotel, your private driver will wait for you and take you to airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Upon your arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, our guide will escort you to explore the dynamic Ho Chi Minh City. You will visit Thien Hau Temple and Binh Tay Market. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, visit the War Remnants or History Museum and the former Presidential Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat).Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Hall are all within walking distance and absolutely nice choices for a free stroll.
Day 7 - Mekong Delta
In the early morning, you will head out of the bustling city to Mekong Delta Area. Cruising on the Mekong river for sightseeing: fish floating market, islands of Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, Phoenix. Land on Unicorn island, take a walk on the village road, visit an orchard of tropical fruits. Visit a bee-farm, enjoy honey-tea and visit a typical house in Mekong Delta. Visit coconut candy workshop, taste fresh candies. Enjoy tropical fruits at local farm, listen to Southern traditional music. Next to land on Dragon island, transfer by cyclo or motorbike to local home. Have a homemade lunch and enjoy cooking time with some dishes such as “Banh Xeo” (Vietnamese crepe); Spring Rolls.... with the owners. After lunch, return to boat station. Transfer back to Saigon. End of tour at your hotel.
Day 8 - Fly to Da Nang and Transfer to Hoi An
Have breakfast at hotel, then you will leave Ho Chi Minh City and fly north to Da Nang (approximately 1 hour).You will have the chance to enjoy some spectacular scenery on the drive(approximately 1 hour) including the sensational Marble Mountains. The five peaks, limestone with marble outcrops, are seen to epitomise the five elements: fire, water, earth, wood and metal. The history of the mountains is rich - the Champas once used them for religious purposes, and in more recent times they were a haven for the Viet Cong. You will arrive in Hoi An in the afternoon, when you can settle in for your night stay in this atmospheric old town.
Day 9 - Learn to Make a Lantern
Today, explore some historical sites in the small town of Hoi An, including the Japanese Bridge, the renowned Chinese Temple and Vietnamese former merchants’ houses. After that, you will learn about how to make a lantern through a visit to the home of a craftsman, exploring the authentic rural life, and you are able to keep the lantern you make as a souvenir.
Day 10 - Fly to Hanoi and Explore Hanoi City
Today, transfer from Hoi An to Da Nang, then fly to Hanoi. And then under your guide’s introduction, you are going to visit the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts and Pillar Pagoda. After that, experience the buzz of Hanoi in the Old Quarter by rickshaw, where you can see, hear, smell the life of the busy Vietnamese. Finally, watch a water puppet show in the tranquil Hoan Kiem Lake, which people use water as the stage for the puppets and tactfully hide the puppet strings and puppeteers’ movements.
Day 11 - Overnight Cruise on Halong Bay
After breakfast, you will take a private transfer for about 3 hrs to Halong City, where you will begin your one and a half days' Halong Bay cruise. You will board the tradtional Vietnamese junk in the afternoon and cruise around the Halong Bay's limestone islets and caves doted the sea and see the sun set over the clam waters at the deck. Enjoy a wonderful dinner at evening. All meals are included during your stay on board. There are also a variety of optional activities waiting for you. Such as swimming, kayaking, diving...etc.
Day 12 - Morning Activities & Back to Hanoi
Wake up early this morning to catch the sunrise over the bay with a Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck. Continue cruising and you can choose either kayak or traditional rowing boat to around discovering local life on the waters. Disembark at Tuan Chau International Passenger Port at around 11:00, where your guide and driver will wait you and drive you back to Hanoi (about 4hrs). On arrival, Your guide will take you to hotel and check in.
