Ninja experience:Learn the ways of a true Japanese warrior during a 60-minute ninja lesson in Osaka! Ninjas aren't just famous in Japan, but worldwide. In many areas of the globe, the word "ninja" has come to mean black clothed mysterious beings that can perform superhuman feats. Popular movies and series are largely responsible for the attire, but ninja legends are actually real, and are a part of history in Japan. On this experience, become a ninja for a day and learn the art, poses, and shuriken (ninja star) throwing skills of ninjas. Receive hands-on instruction on fighting techniques (Kuja-kiri, Embu, etc.), weaponry, and meditation during this workshop. You'll also discover the ninja philosophy of "ku" or no-self, which focuses on minimizing conflict. And if you're brave enough, suit up in a "ninja gi" or ninja costume, too, roam the streets, and have your photos taken!Osaka Castle:The construction of Osaka Castle started in 1583 on the former site of the Ishiyama Honganji Temple, which had been destroyed by Oda Nobunaga thirteen years earlier. Toyotomi Hideyoshi intended the castle to become the center of a new, unified Japan under Toyotomi rule. It was the largest castle at the time.Shinsekai Streets&Tsutenkaku Tower:Paris was chosen as the model for Shinsekai's northern half, while the southern portion was built to imitate Coney Island in New York. Tsutenkaku Tower was constructed in 1912 after Paris' Eiffel Tower. Although it was scrapped during WWII, the tower was reconstructed soon afterwards in 1956. The current tower is 103 meters high, with the main observatory at a height of 91 meters. In addition, the tower offers an open-air deck on top of the main observatory and a 60 meter long slide at the base of the tower.
Zaou Fishing Restaurant:The restaurant chain where you can catch your own dinner. At the Osaka branch you're greeted by a giant, boat-shaped seating area, and surrounding that is a moat teeming with all kinds of fish. Once you're seated, you'll be handed a fishing rod and some bait, after which you're free to go fish. Bear in mind: there's no such thing as 'catch and release' here. If you caught it, you bought it.
