Day 6 - Nikko Nature and Cultural Tour | Stone Church, Kumobaike, shiraito falls

Stone Church:Mysterious church made of stone and glass This is a rare architecture in the world that combines "organic architecture" and the "non-denominational philosophy," which teaches that the place to make vows is in nature. There is no altar or cross in the hall, which is in harmony with nature, and light pours in through the arches, while the sound of water running down the stone walls echoes through the mysterious space.

Kumobaike:This pond, sometimes called “Swan Lake” because the swans tend to fly in winter, has stunning, changeable scenery throughout all four seasons. Take a stroll around the pond and relax among the nature. A trip around the whole pond should take about twenty minutes.

shiraito falls:Shiraito Waterfall, measuring three meters high and 70 meters wide, is located in the forests north of downtown Karuizawa. The mountain slopes above the waterfall contain a volcanic stratum on which groundwater flows before surfacing here. This explains why no river flows into the Shiraito Waterfall. Also, as only a small portion of the water flowing is rain water, the strength of the flow stays relatively constant independant of the weather. Shiraito no Taki literally means "the waterfall of white threads", which aptly describes its appearance, as multiple streaks of water drape over the surface forming what seems like a white curtain. The site is most beautiful in summer when the vegetation is lush; it is a somewhat popular destination for autumn colors around late October each year.

Day 11 - Nara Full Day Excursion&Stay in Osaka | Fushimi Inari Shrine, Nara Park, Todai-ji Temple, Kasuga Taisha

Fushimi Inari Shrine/Red Torii Gates is an important Shinto shrine in southern Kyoto.  It is famous for its thousands of vermilion torii gates, which straddle a network of trails behind its main buildings.  The trails lead into the wooded forest of the sacred Mount Inari, which stands at 233 meters and belongs to the shrine grounds. Nara Park it is also home to hundreds of freely roaming deer.  Considered the messengers of the gods, Nara's over 1000 deer have become a symbol of the city and have even been designated as a natural treasure.   Deer crackers are for sale around the park, and some deer have learned to bow to visitors to ask to be fed. Nara's deer are surprisingly tame, although they can be aggressive if they think you will feed them, so make sure not to tease them with food.Todaiji is one of Japan's most famous and historically significant temples and a landmark of Nara. The temple was constructed in 752 as the head temple of all provincial Buddhist temples of Japan and grew so powerful that the capital was moved away from Nara in 784 in order to lower the temple's influence on government affairs.Until recently, Todaiji's main hall, the Daibutsuden (Big Buddha Hall).Kasuga Taisha is Nara's most celebrated shrine. It was established at the same time as the capital and is dedicated to the deity responsible for the protection of the city. Kasuga Taisha was also the tutelary shrine of the Fujiwara, Japan's most powerful family clan during most of the Nara and Heian Periods. Like the Ise Shrines, Kasuga Taisha had been periodically rebuilt every 20 years for many centuries. In the case of Kasuga Taisha, however, the custom was discontinued at the end of the Edo Period.
