Day 1 - Welcome to Vietnam!
Welcome to Vietnam! On arrival at Noi Bai Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and driver and transferred to a hotel in the center of Hanoi. The rest of the day is at leisure. You might go outside to have a little adventure in the city on your own.
Day 2 - Hanoi City Tour & Water Puppets Show
Today you'll jump into Hanoi's sights and sounds on a tour that covers all the essentials. You'll visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, which includes the Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh's former stilt-house residence, The Hoa Lo Prison, The One Pillar Pagoda, and The Temple of Literature, which, dating back to 1070, is Vietnam’s oldest university.
After lunch, you will explore the enthralling Museum of Ethnology, which contains an extensive display of life-size structures dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 ethnic minorities. Next, enjoy an hour-long cyclo ride winding through the narrow, chaotic streets of the Old Quarter - a must for any visitor to Hanoi! The day finishes with a traditional performance of the famous Vietnamese Water Puppets Show.
Day 3 - Ha Long Bay Overnight Cruise
After breakfast, you will take a private transfer for about 3 hrs to Halong City, where you will begin your one and a half day Halong Bay cruise. You will board the traditional Vietnamese junk in the afternoon and cruise around Halong Bay's limestone islets and caves dotted the sea and see the sunset over the calm waters at the deck. Enjoy a wonderful dinner in the evening. All meals are included during your stay on board. There are also a variety of optional activities waiting for you. Such as swimming, kayaking, diving...etc.
Day 4 - Morning Activities & Fly to Hue
Wake up early this morning to catch the sunrise over the bay with a Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck. Continue cruising and you can choose either kayak or traditional rowing boat to around discovering local life on the waters. Disembark at Tuan Chau International Passenger Port at around 11:00, where your driver will wait for you and drive you to Hanoi airport for your onward flight (arrive at the airport at around 1:30 pm) to Hue. On arrival, your private guide will welcome you at the arrival hall and transfer you to your hotel with a private car and driver. Your guide will help you with luggage and hotel check-in and ensure your arrival is worry-free.
Day 5 - Hue City Exploration
Today, tour the Minh Mang Tomb renowned for its architecture and sublime forest setting. Admire Vietnam's tallest and iconic seven-story Thien Mu Pagoda by a royal dragon boat cruise on the Perfume River. After that, take a walk on the cobbled paths in the Imperial Citadel, and discover some former glory of the country's royalty in the Forbidden Purple City. Finally, stroll in the Dong Ba Market to get a taste of the local civil life.
Day 6 - Da Nang Hai Van Pass & Hoi An
Today your journey begins with a scenic drive to Hoi An (about 3 hrs), during which you can have a full view of the coast and Da Nang when driving on the top of Hai Van Pass. And you can also have a leisurely walk on the soft white sand at Da Nang's Non Nuoc Beach, appreciate great sculptures in Cham Museum, and climb the beautiful Marble Mountains. You can explore the town on your own or just relax after reaching Hoi An in the afternoon.
Day 7 - Hoi An Old Town & Making Lantern
Today, explore some historical sites in the small town of Hoi An, including the Japanese Bridge, the renowned Chinese Temple, and Vietnamese former merchants' houses. After that, you will learn about how to make a lantern through a visit to the home of a craftsman, exploring the authentic rural life, and you are able to keep the lantern you make as a souvenir.
Day 8 - Fly to Ho Chi Minh City
You will take a private transfer to Da Nang for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, our guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to relax.
Day 9 - Cu Chi Tunnels & Ho Chi Minh City
This morning set out for the incredible underground Cu Chi Tunnels and then drive back to Ho Chi Minh City to visit the War Remnants Museum and Reunification Palace (the former Presidential Palace), the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office and Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat) absolutely nice choices for a free stroll.
Day 10 - Mekong Delta
In the early morning, you will head out of the bustling city to Mekong Delta Area. Cruising on the Mekong river for sightseeing: islands of Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, Phoenix.
Land on Unicorn island, take a walk on the village road, visit an orchard of tropical fruits. Visit a bee-farm, enjoy honey-tea and visit a typical house in Mekong Delta. Visit coconut candy workshop, taste fresh candies. Enjoy tropical fruits at local farm, listen to Southern traditional music.
Next to land on Dragon island, transfer by cyclo or motorbike to local home. Have a homemade lunch and enjoy cooking time with some dishes such as “Banh Xeo” (Vietnamese crepe); Spring Rolls.... with the owners. After lunch, return to boat station. Transfer back to Saigon. End of tour at your hotel.
Day 11 - Fly to Siem Reap
Your guide will escort you to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap, your private guide will meet with you at the airport and take you to the hotel for check-in. In your free time, you can stroll around the streets of Siem Reap and explore the city.
This afternoon you will visit Tonle Sap, the largest fresh-water lake in South East Asia. After picking up from Hotel, you will visit Kompong Phluk Floating Village, The name Kompong Phluk translates to “Harbour of Tusks”, reflecting the past trade in elephants. Kompong Phluk is a cluster of three villages of stilted houses built within the floodplain. It is an attractive small community surrounded by mangroves, virtually untouched by time or tourism. During the boat trip, you will explore Floating Village, a High steak house in Tonle Sap Lake, the local community, and the children's school.
Day 12 - Angkor Wat & Phnom Bakheng Sunset
This morning you will be picked up at your accommodation in Siem Reap to begin your unforgettable Angkor Wat Tour. You will be transferred by private car to the West Gate of Angkor Thom – undiscovered by mass tourist.Your tour will include visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Angkor Period (AD 802-1432). Visit the breathtaking Bayon Temple, one of the most popular sites in Angkor complex with over 200 giant faces carved into its 54 towers. The temple was designed to represent the 54 provinces of the Khmer Empire and it still carries a completely majestic atmosphere. You will also visit Baphuon Temple,Phimeanakas Temple,the Terrace of the Elephant,the Terrace of the Leper King,and Royal Palace Temple.
In the afternoon, you will visit Angkor Wat Temple, one of the seven wonders of the world. Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. View sunset at Phnom Bakheng before heading back to your accommodation.
Notice: During the visit to Angkor Wat, Baphuon, and Banteay Srey temple – visitors should wear Shirts or blouses covering shoulders and arms and long skirts or trousers covering legs. (No miniskirt or short trousers). Children under twelve years old are not allowed to climb up this tower. It will be closed on the Buddhist Sabbath Days, the Buddhist religious days, four days a month in accordance with the Lunar Calendar.
Day 13 - Banteay Srei & Ta Prohm
If you want, you can take the early morning trip witness sunrise over Angkor Wat temple and listening singing birds over the ancient land of Angkor area, you also have the chance for a friendly talk with the monks and nuns at a nearby pagoda. After the sunrise tour, breakfast either at the hotel or takeaway is available.
Start the day by visiting Banteay Srei Temples, nearly everyone's favorite site. The special charm of this temple lies in its compact size, remarkable state of preservation, and the excellence of it decorative carving. Continue to visit Banteay Samre, Its rose-colored sandstone walls are decorated with carvings and bas-reliefs, which are among the most accomplished Angkor has to offer. Have lunch at a local restaurant for exotic cuisine. Ta Prohm temple and Banteay Kdei are your next stops before some leisure time in the late afternoon.
