The rest of day is arranged on your own.You may need some time to relax and recover from the long-distance flight or possibly from jet-lag. If you feel like going for a walk and checking out places nearby, feel free to ask your guide for recommendations for good dining or places to see.

  • Day 2 - Explore the North of Bangkok

    • Accommodation:

      U Sukhumvit Bangkok

    • Meals:

      Breakfast,Lunch

    • Activity:

Depart for a 1.5-hour drive through Bangkok’s rural outskirts to Ayutthaya History Park. Begin by visiting the Bang-Pa-In Summer Palace, located 60 kilometers north of Bangkok, an impressive architectural blend of East and West dating back to the 17th century. Continue to Ayutthaya, which was the capital of the Thai Kingdom for 417 years. The city was founded in 1350 by King U-Thong and in 1767 it was destroyed by the Burmese army. Nowadays the ruins of the former city are on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Stroll around the ruins of several ancient temples including Wat Phra Si Sanphet, a former royal temple during Ayutthaya's days of glory; Wat Mahathat, where the roots of a tree surround the head of Buddha; and if time allows, Wat Chai Wattanaram, a perfect example of Khmer architectural influence. This afternoon, board a luxury boat and enjoy a Thai buffet lunch whilst cruising back to Bangkok. Witness the daily life of the river’s inhabitants and watch the scenery change from rural to cosmopolitan transfer back to your hotel on arrival at the pier.

  • Day 3 - Maeklong Railway Marke t& Amphawa Floating Market

    • Accommodation:

      U Sukhumvit Bangkok

    • Meals:

      Breakfast,Lunch

    • Activity:

Your private transfer to Bangkok unusual markets, Maeklong Market (also known asRom Hub Market) . it has a train running through the middle of it several times a day. Right down the middle and close enough to touch. Only in Thailand! Marvel at each seller quickly moves their wares via ingenious sets of easily-movable containers to avoid the coming train, once the train has passed it’s back to business as usual. And the Amphawa Floating Marketfor your second stop of the day .it is known locally as the city’s second-most popular market. You’ll explore the array of produce and food stalls that line the streets (and canals) of this unique floating bazaar. This market has everything that we’ve come to know and love in Thai markets. Its stalls have displays of fruits, veggies, meats, seafood, as well as sweet snacks, clothing, and flowers.

The real fun comes at night. You can feel the traditional, unspoiled parts of Thailand .It is considered the best place for firefly watching in Thailand, at night the fireflies on the Amphawa blink in unison. The highlight is hopping aboard a small boat and heading out into the further reaches of the neighborhood’s waterways in order to spot some of the large population of fireflies that live in the trees on the canal banks.

      Expand
    • Good to know

The best time to visit this area is on the weekend when locals flock to the area to buy from the floating vendors. Our tour starts late morning at 11 am from the hotel , which give enough time to walk down the tracks before the next train comes. The main entrance is crowded. Be mindful of the produce that is near ground level and let other visitors exit the market before trying to go in. Although this isn’t a fast-moving train, it’s a no barrier to stay clear of the tracks when the train is coming. Don’t stand on or lean over the tracks to get “the perfect shot” or you may get perfectly smashed.

Drive approximately 1hr to Doi Suthep Mountain, enjoying the spectacular views of Northern Thailand as you head past mountains and forests, towards Wat Phra That, one of Northern Thailand’s most sacred temples. Founded in 1383 AD, the temple is reached by climbing 309 steps (or for the less fitness-oriented, a tram is available for a small surcharge). The climb up is rewarded with a superb panoramic view over the city. Return to Chiang Mai with lunch at a local restaurant en route.

The only thing that I didn't like about the 15 day Thailand trip (A Dose of Paradise) is that it went by so fast and I wish there was more time! Everything about this trip far surpassed any expectations going into it. I have never been to Asia and now I am asking myself why it took me this long to do a trip like this. The guide made it so much fun and made sure every detail was well taken care of and we had every opportunity to experience things we wanted to. The places we visited were such a unique mix of breathtaking beaches and off the map secret treasures. The people we met were the friendliest people on earth and now I know where my next vacation has to be. You guys opened up my eyes to Thailand I didn't know before and I'm extremely lucky to have this trip. Thank you for having this trip to help open my eyes to the real Thailand!

The trip was pretty amazing, I got to see a ton of culture, went to some amazing places and ate some great food. The trip exceeded my expectations and a huge part of that was Dominic faint. He was a great guide and made the trip what it was. It was very well organized and took all the thought and stress out of traveling. It would have been nice to have some different options for accommodations that were maybe a bit nicer and also some Thai food place recommendations (Matt gave a great one!) The places we went to were amazing also, so beautiful. Thanks!
