The rest of day is arranged on your own.You may need some time to relax and recover from the long-distance flight or possibly from jet-lag. If you feel like going for a walk and checking out places nearby, feel free to ask your guide for recommendations for good dining or places to see.
Day 2 - Explore the North of Bangkok
Depart for a 1.5-hour drive through Bangkok’s rural outskirts to Ayutthaya History Park. Begin by visiting the Bang-Pa-In Summer Palace, located 60 kilometers north of Bangkok, an impressive architectural blend of East and West dating back to the 17th century. Continue to Ayutthaya, which was the capital of the Thai Kingdom for 417 years. The city was founded in 1350 by King U-Thong and in 1767 it was destroyed by the Burmese army. Nowadays the ruins of the former city are on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Stroll around the ruins of several ancient temples including Wat Phra Si Sanphet, a former royal temple during Ayutthaya's days of glory; Wat Mahathat, where the roots of a tree surround the head of Buddha; and if time allows, Wat Chai Wattanaram, a perfect example of Khmer architectural influence. During the visit, your guide will take you to sample a notable local snack – Roti Sai Mai which is also referred to as "Sweet Angel Hair".
This afternoon, board a luxury boat and enjoy a Thai buffet lunch whilst cruising back to Bangkok. Witness the daily life of the river’s inhabitants and watch the scenery change from rural to cosmopolitan transfer back to your hotel on arrival at the pier.
Day 3 - Maeklong Railway Marke t& Amphawa Floating Market
Your private transfer to two unusual markets near Bangkok, Maeklong Railway Market (also known as Rom Hub Market). It has a train running through the middle of it several times a day. Right down the middle and close enough to touch. Only in Thailand! Marvel at each seller quickly moves their wares via ingenious sets of easily-movable containers to avoid the coming train, once the train has passed it's back to business as usual. If lucky, you may meet the "Street coconut ice cream" sell on the railway track, your UME guide will show you how local eat icecream with a hot dog bun.
You will continue to Amphawa Floating Market (only for weekends: Fri, Sta and Sun). It is known locally as the city's second-most popular floating market. After check in at a beautiful and traditional Teak wood homestay (or hotel) on stilts line along the bank. After that, you'll explore the array of produce and food stalls that line the streets (and canals) of this unique floating bazaar. This market has everything that we've come to know and love in Thai markets. Its stalls have displays of fruits, veggies, meats, seafood, as well as sweet snacks, clothing, and flowers.
When night falls, You'll get a join motor boat and cruise along the canal as you will see the villagers spend their daily life by the river. And if you are lucky enough, you will get to see fireflies light up the night like stars in cloudless sky.
UME expert suggest you start late morning at 11 am to visit the raileay market, which give enough time to walk down the tracks before the next train comes. Although this isn’t a fast-moving train, it’s a no barrier to stay clear of the tracks when the train is coming. Don’t stand on or lean over the tracks to get “the perfect shot” or you may get perfectly smashed.
UME guide will take you to find the local "street coconut ice cream" sell on the track. If lucky, you will find this kind of ice cream sold by Thailand’s still-working old people. They put a huge vat of coconut ice cream in a stainless steel refrigerated container and push their cart walk through the streets and track. You can ask your guide help you order it in a ‘Thai way’,then you will get a couple of scoops of ice cream on a hot dog bun (yes, on bread), with some yellow corn put on top and condensed milk poured over it. Or, you can also order it a normal way, two big scoops of cocon
Day 4 - Alms Giving & Fly to Chiang Mai
Alms giving is a Buddhist practice usually seen in the staunchly Buddhist countries, but alms giving in Amphawa is a little different from the procession of monks you normally see because it happens by boat!
Today you will wake up early morning to watch or participate in this unique Alms Giving (offering to local Monks) along the winding canals and experience what seems like Thailand’s bygone lifestyle! Wait at the teak wood terrace of your homestay (or a good place your guide choose for you), you will find monks rowing their boats come along. Some of the monks had people rowing for them while others were alone. After the Buddhists make merit, the monk will give them a short blessing. If you wish to make merit, your guide will prepare a set of flower and dry food for you to offer to local monk. Even if you are not making merit yourself, it is a peaceful experience just to watch.
After lunch，enjoy your free time until your guide escort you back to Bangkok. You will take your internal flight to the historical and colorful city of Chiang Mai. Chiang Mai, located in the north of Thailand, with its lovely Lanna temples, charming traditions, unique food, family-friendly attractions and stunning setting is a gem in Thailand’s northern hills. Your driver is waiting for you at the airport to take you by private car to your hotel. After settle down in your hotel, the rest of the day at your own leisure!
Chiang Mai is a shopping paradise, nothing beats shopping for a bargain more than in the famous Chiang Mai Night Bazaar. The Night Bazaar, on the east side of the old walled city, is approximately 1km long. There is a small number of restaurants and burger, pizza shops along the Night Bazaar, plus a heap of mobile food street stalls for those in need of a quick bite.
Day 5 - Elephant Jungle Sanctuary & Doi Suthep Mountain
A half-day package to the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary （Join Group） offers you an enjoyable opportunity to spend quality time with elephants in their natural home, as well as gain an insight into their history and behavior, and create cherished lifelong memories of their time spent with these amazing animals.
Today you will be picked up from your place of accommodation and will drive through scenic agricultural areas before arriving at the Sanctuary. There, you will meet your English-speaking guide and learn a little about the elephants, before changing into traditional Karen clothing.
After being allocated bananas and sugar cane to feed to the elephants, you will walk with your guide through the Sanctuary, where you will find free-roaming elephants and hear their individual stories. You can touch, feed, photograph, and interact with the elephants at your leisure while you learn about their lifestyle and behaviors.
After the close encounter with elephant, you have head to visit Doi Suthep Mountain. Climb 309 steps (or for the less fitness-oriented, a tram is available for a small surcharge) to the top, enjoying a truly breathtaking scenery all along the way up to the top where you will find Wat Phra That, one of Northern Thailand’s most sacred temples. Have a panoramic views of the city of Chiang Mai.
Day 6 - Thai Cooking Class
Learn Thai cooking secrets in a family environment with a well-known local chef. As a trekking guide, Chef Sawat noticed that travellers were interested in preparing food with him. His passion for cooking and experience as a chef in several restaurants inspired him to set up an organic farm where he has a spacious garden full of Thai herbs, vegetables and tropical fruits. Drive 1hr north of Chiang Mai to the organic garden at the chef’s farmhouse and pick some fresh herbs for use in the hands-on cooking experience where you will learn how to pound curry paste and to make authentic Thai curry. Create a dessert with the fruits you pick right from the trees. Enjoy your culinary efforts for lunch, along with learning to make a few more dishes before returning to your hotel.

The opaque decor and dead animals adorning each room make Duchanee’s estate the complete opposite of the White Temple, the glimpse of heaven designed by his teacher Chalermchai Kositpipat. Although off the beaten track, the Black Temple is not something to be overlooked. In the late afternoon, you will come back to Chiang Mai and enjoy your free time.

I recently went on the Thailand arranged by UME Travel which I thought was a great tour in which you get a good taste of Thailand in a short amount of time. UME Travel makes my first trip to Thailand the perfect one. The itinerary includes everything I ever wanted. My guide is also very nice,he made my trip very comfortable. With a friendly atmosphere, I make quite a few friends during the trip. It is great trip that I will remember forever. Highly recommend to everyone looking to come to Thailand.
This is the perfect trip for you if you like experience the authentic Thailand’s culture. This tour was jam packed with fun and sites to see. The activities arranged were full of fun. We have experience so much. And our guide is professional and is always ready to sort out our problems.
The best experience of my life. I took the 13 days Thailand tour and I enjoy every minutes of it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to taste the best part of Thailand. Our guide is also great, making every member of the group feel welcomed. I enjoy the Thailand temples the most, they are all spectacular. This trip would be great memory of a lifetime!
The sea in Phuket was like a big crystal and the water was very clear. Our guide was sweet and patient. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the experience very much.
The most impressed sight in this trip was phangna bay! My wife and son were very happy to swim there. The water was so clear and I even can see the sand under the water! So amazing! The other sights in this itinerary were also cool. I love this travel and thanks for the great organization of UME Travel.
I prefer nature landscape than other so I chose this itinerary. Before I traveled to Thailand , I had heard that Thai islands were so beautiful. This turned out to be correct after I visited there. The arrangement of each side was so sweet and I didn’t worry about everything. Highly recommend!
What an incredible and amazing 10 days in Thailand! There have been so many highlights. From the moment I got off the plane in Bangkok, I just felt unbelievable. The culture and rich history of Bangkok and mysterious the ancient temples made my night life be exciting.
It has been two weeks since I returned home from our Thailand trip, and I'm still buzzing on the great experience! Thailand is a great country to visit, and it was made so much better going with our UME Travel group. There are the best restaurants and night spots to check out, and great insider information on all of the places we traveled. I would love to go on another UME Travel, the only problem is choosing the next destination.
My wife and I enjoyed this trip very much. Both cultural and natural spots satisfied us. the markets in Thailand were characteristic. We found a new life style in Thailand. This is a nice experience!
I had the time of my life. Toni was so enthusiastic. She absolutely loves her job and it shows. Her energy is contagious. She gave me an encouraging push to step out of my comfort zone and I did things I usually wouldn't. I absolutely loved scuba diving.
Ben and James are both exceptionally engaging, informed, and FUN!!! Its hard not to enjoy 10 days in one of the most beauitiful parts of the world, but Ume travel's expertise on the areas and top notch local connections made it that much better.
Such a beautiful and unforgettable experience!! Ben was such a phenomenal and knowledgable guide, as was James! I would recommend this trip to anyone I know! If you want to dive with sharks, slip and fly, experience culture, and meet some local people, travel with Ume travel!
Just to mention their consistency in friendliness, professionalism, timely pick up and delicious lunch. The tour was brilliantly organised from beginning to end. This is truly a private tour, having Tip to yourself, so you can ask anything about Thai culture. Tip is incredibly pleasant and has a wicked sense of humor. She made sure we were all safe and comfortable before we set off, then she led us into a deserted lagoon with just the wildlife for company. If you have ever experienced a mass tour before and the accompanying noise, you will appreciate what this means. She pointed out the wildlife and guided us through what felt like a film set from Jurassic Park! You can easily check the online itinerary to get an idea of what you can expect. Will book my tour online again!
I spent 4 days diving at the Phuket islands. Great food, great boat and crew but more importantly - experienced divers/awesome people who take you out to spectacular spots and have your safety well in hand. The food is served all the time on the hotel. And in the boat, we cooked the fishes just fished by us few minutes before. The food was very tasty, plentiful and varied – from sushi to pizza. I am vegetarian and was easily taken care of. Lots of fruits, cookies, soda etc.The Sunsets were awesome and lots of space to take those in. Everything is great!
Training & Dive masters are very experienced - well organized dive deck & routine. I observed training first hand, you will get real training by qualified divers. I would trust them with my kids. I highly recommend to take this course if anyone needs one. I actually get more trainings than normal. Apart from the five dives in the course, the dive master always there to offer help and guidance throughout the whole trip.
We are using the your tour service with my Boss family trip and feel very happy and excellent with your goods customer services and organised for anything. This was our first time on a liveaboard... It was fun and easy... You dive, eat, relax, and dive again. It's so nice being able to relax in comfort between dives and when the next dive comes... You walk 15 feet and go dive again.
Very organized. Satisfied with their service. They got the good tour guide and drivers. Our flight was late from Bangkok to Phuket, so they even gave us a free airport to hotel transfer as compensation. We booked the Full Moon party tour in Oct., everything was confirmed. The night bars and party were crazy.
UME Travel made our Phuket trip safe and fun! Thanks to it's good team. We were fetched in the airport. And arrange a day tour for us going to the best islands of the world. Activities of snorkeling, site seeing, and lunch, fruit snacks and unlimited drinks is served.
This island did have a lovely beach. The sand was brilliant white and was quite soft. There are however many islands which have much softer sand! Stopped here on one of our tours and this was among my favorite stops. The snorkeling here was incredible! Loads of different fish of all sizes and colors, all wandering around coral. This beach wasn't too crowded. Highly recommended.
