I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who is interested in a quality experience seeing the classic Chinese spots. The tour was not rushed, the atmosphere was relaxed and informative, and the accommodations at the five star hotel were good.

In my opinion, China's most under-rated attraction are its Buddhist grottoes. For me, they eclipse the Great Wall as an historical attraction. The Longmen Grottoes are one of the truly great Buddhist caves of China and a day here will certainly be memorable.

We had a great itinerary visiting the lots of stunning spots including Zhongyue Temple Terracotta Warriors Big Wild Goose Pagoda etc. on this private tour. Our guide was very fun, friendly and knowledgeable. The pace was relaxed and we had plenty of time to ask questions, take pictures and enjoy everything at our own pace.

Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a very good example of the Pagoda. A large square at the Pagoda entrance has a statue of the first monk to travel to India. Street in front of the square has many more statues. In addition, if you miss Terracotta Warriors on your visit to X'ian your trip is not complete. It is rare to see a place so full of life. It is crowded, noisy, with vendors selling handicrafts, food and souvenirs. If you are there at night you don't notice the time on your watch and don't want to go home.

We walked over to the Pagoda after breakfast while sightseeing in Xi'an. The Pagoda itself has been rebuilt and looks quite good. What we actually found far more interesting and lively was the street right outside the approach to the Pagoda. We had a nice time watching the people interact with the statues and in general, having a good time. A very pleasant attraction.

Whilst the city wall itself is obviously impressive and wonderful to see, I don't think you require more than 1 or 2 hours here. You can cycle or walk on the wall to kill some time and see the city from a vantage point. Just get one of the cheap rentals littered around the streets! The food here in Muslim Street was amazing and cheap. Festive looking street vendors. We had the skewers of lamb, crab on a stick, potato stir fry, tofu stir fry, fairy floss, noodles, yogurt, hot cranberry drink, hot herbal drink. Miss the food already.

We landed late but our guide tweaked the schedule and got us back to the airport with plenty of time. She had lots of interesting info and let us go at our own pace to see what we wanted to see. Everything about the tour was planned out and taken care of. All we had to do was meet up with our guide and the rest was done for us. A great tour and I'd recommend taking a long layover to try it.
