A great introduction to China. This is a busy trip with a lot of travel, but an excellent way to see the main highlights the country has to offer. The few days in Shanghai at the end of the trip were highly enjoyable and provide a welcome contrast to the week spent in China.
This trip has many highlights, but for me it was seeing the Terracotta Army - absolutely amazing & took my breath away! The Great Wall is also a site to behold seeing it stretch for miles and miles! The Forbidden City and Palace in Beijing is impressive but so vast. If you want to travel to China, be prepared for a bit of a culture shock in China.
We visited China in December. Every key spot is well marked and perhaps because we were there in December, it wasn't very crowded. The most impressive spot is the wall in Xi’an. The wall itself is quite wide and you can ride cycles or take the electric buggy around. It is a new experience.
I really enjoyed seeing the great wall of China and also the terracotta warriors as these are some of the top tourist attractions in China. UME Trave really do make sure that these days are something special for you and will give you English speaking tour guide's who know everything there is to know about the great wall and the terracotta warriors. Just ask them any question you like!!
